About Us

Your hosts, Byron and Lisa Houston, are proud to be able to provide a home away from home experience in the beautiful and plentiful town of Christina Lake. We are outdoor enthusiasts at heart and love everything about this area and all that it provides year-round. We were both born and raised in the Lower Mainland of BC and until 2021 led very different looking busy lives and careers on the Coast. Taking a step away from "the office" came with mixed emotions for both of us but we quickly came to love the idea of a new life outdoors. As much as we love to travel, we have always felt lucky and very appreciative of the variety of terrain and adventures available to us here in BC which is what brought us to Christina Lake. When we're not at the campground you will most likely find us exploring mountains either on foot, skis, or snowshoes.

Our Story
Christina Pines is run by a team of people who care deeply about creating a welcoming, comfortable place for guests to land. During the season, our full crew of camp hosts helps keep the park running smoothly — greeting guests, maintaining the grounds, and making sure everyone feels at home.

Byron and Lisa are part of that team and help guide the overall vision for the campground. After years of busy careers in the Lower Mainland, they chose a life that keeps them closer to the outdoors and the kind of experiences they've always valued. Christina Lake offered the right mix of community, natural beauty, and year‑round adventure, and it quickly became home.

When they're not around the campground, you'll often find them exploring the local mountains on foot, skis, or snowshoes — one of the many reasons they appreciate this place and the people who visit it.

Christina Pines is built on that same spirit: enjoying the outdoors, connecting with others, and creating a space where guests can settle in and feel comfortable, whether they're here for a night or a season
